Alyssa was born and raised in Brunswick County. She started dancing at the age of two, and started dancing competitively at the age of five. She has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, pointe, hip-hip, contemporary, lyrical, and acro. She was a member of the South Brunswick High School dance team all four years, and served as captain her senior year. While on the dance team she was awarded as an All American Dancer. After graduating high school she went on to become a member of the East Carolina Dance Team. While on the dance team, she had the opportunity to dance at football games, basketball games, and other school functions. They competed at NDA Nationals in Daytona Beach Florida, where they placed second in the nation in the Pom category. She is currently pursuing a degree in nursing, with hopes of becoming a nurse practitioner. She is excited about being able to continue to share her passion and love for dance by being a member of the IDC family.
